Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. This is a demonstration site, but it follows the same privacy rules a real one should.
What we store
- Account details: your name, email address, a salted password hash and your role.
- Your content: the reviews you write, including the star rating, comment and dates.
- Reports: which review you reported, the reason you chose and the date.
We do not store your password. Only a one-way PBKDF2-SHA256 hash with a random salt is saved, so the original password cannot be read back from the database.
What is shown publicly
Reviews show an abbreviated author name such as “Alice M.” together with the rating, comment and date. Your email address is never displayed on the site, and only administrators can see it in the management area.
Cookies
One cookie is used. It holds a signed session that remembers who is logged in and carries a security token for forms. It contains no advertising identifiers and is not shared with third parties. Logging out clears it.
How long we keep data
Reviews stay until you delete them or an administrator removes them for breaking the guidelines. Deleting your account also deletes your reviews and reports.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any review you wrote, at any time.
- Ask an administrator to delete your account and its content.
- Report content you believe is inappropriate.
